HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF
CHINESE BAPTIST CHURCH?
Joining Our Church
Membership is available to anyone who has professed their faith alone in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and has been baptized by immersion by a body of believers of like faith. If you have not yet publicly declared that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior and been baptized by immersion, our pastors and members will help you with your spiritual decisions.
Come forward during the invocation to speak with the pastor or deacon or you may simply fill out
the Response in the church worship bulletin.
Membership Requirements
Salvation by Grace through Faith
Salvation is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Trust that Jesus
Christ alone can provide forgiveness of sins. The decision to follow Christ is the beginning of becoming a
new creation in Christ.
Baptism by Immersion
Salvation is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Trust that Jesus Christ alone can provide forgiveness of sins. The decision to follow Christ is the beginning of becoming a new creation in Christ.
Baptism is an act of obedience, symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried,
risen Savior and his or her spiritual transformation that comes from dying to sin (Romans 6:1-11).
Descriptions of baptism by immersion are found in the New Testament (Matthew 3:6, John 3:23, Acts 8:38).

Membership Class
Learn more about Believers' Baptism and Church Membership in Understanding Baptism and
Church Membership Class. Sessions will be taught throughout the year by the Pastors. This class
is required if you desire to be water baptized and/or join Chinese Baptist Church.
