Welcome to Kids Ministry

As we learn to come under the leadership of the Holy Spirit in our relationship with Christ, your partnership in this endeavor makes raising the next generation for God's glory possible!

Together in Him, Geraldine

  • It is CBC's vision to equip each generation to...
  • Celebrate the King of Kings
  • Become more Christ-like
  • Connect people to Jesus

The kids are being trained to "Celebrate the King of Kings" by learning to give God the worth that He deserves through our Sunday morning first hour programs: Little Kids Praise (Preschool & Kindergarten) and Kids Worship (Elementary grades1-5).

The kids are introduced, guided and encouraged to "Become More Christ-like" through their learning of Bible stories, biblical truths and values, age-related activities and games: Tot's Circle (2's/3's), Preschool (3's/4's) & Kindergarten (5's) Sunday School and Elementary Sunday School (grades 1-5) on the second hour on Sunday morning. For kids who express a desire to become a follower of Christ, the Next Step class will help prepare them for what that means and the commitment of Christian discipline.

To live out the great commission that God calls us to, CBC Kids Ministry continues to provide additional evangelistic + discipleship programs like AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed - 2 Timothy 2:15) kid's clubs and VBS (the week after July 4th) to reach out to those who need the good news of Jesus, to "Connect People to Jesus". These high energy programs require substantial engagement and encouragement from all levels of church leadership and all age groups for impact.

In order to sustain these year-round programs, including the Nursery that serves the new parents and visitors, the support and the need to equip leaders, teachers, helpers, parents and youth (Leaders-In-Training) are of great importance and urgency (Luke 6:39-49). Therefore, it is vital for us to extend our ministry to orient and equip people for ministry, to continue to develop their classroom management, teaching and leadership skills for effectiveness, plus the risk management training for those who work with kids. We are also here to help resource parents with tools for faith development, as we are called "to equip each generation" for good works. (Ephesians 4:12-13)

CBC Kids follows the principle set in Deuteronomy 6: the responsibility for faith training and spiritual growth of children lies within the family. Therefore, CBC Kids Ministry serves children by coming alongside parents to provide opportunities for learning, teaching, training, resourcing and spiritual support.

CBC Kids recognizes that children are a vital part of our church today, as well as the church of tomorrow. We believe wholeheartedly in the value of investing our time and resources into instructing and training children at their level, so that they may know what it means and choose to live as part of the body of Christ as their lifestyle.

CBC Kids strives to operate all ministry activities with four basic principles:

  • Scripture-based model
  • Disciple-making operation
  • Character-based pursuit
  • Relationship-based teamwork
