Florida Hurricane Relief Fund

We are still collecting Special Offering for Hurricane Helene/Milton. In the wake of the recent hurricanes, many individuals and families have faced devastating losses. We stand together in solidarity to support those affected by this disaster. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. CBC Friday Night Food & Fellowship

6:30 pm / Rooms 159 & 163

If your child is participating in youth or AWANA, please join us Friday nights for fellowship and dinner in Rooms 159 and 163. Food will be served in Room 163 or Office Foyer from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Afterwards, we will breakout into our respective groups: AWANA in FLC (Kids age 4-5th grade) from 7:30 - 9:15 pm, Youth in Chapel (Middle and High Schoolers) from 7:30 - 9:15 pm, Mandarin Fellowship in Room 163 from 7:30 - 9:00 pm, and English Adults R&R in Room 134 from 7:30 - 9:00 pm for sharing, prayer, and Bible study.

R&R Friday Night Prayer Fellowship

Friday Night Prayer Group meets weekly on Fridays at 7:30 pm in Room 134 Join us for Friday night prayer fellowship each week as we intentionally rest, recalibrate, and are renewed spiritually in the Lord and together as a church family. Kids attending AWANA or ACCESS are invited for the light dinner at the beginning before going off to their respective fellowships as well (dinner is usually provided at 7:00 pm in Room 163.) Joint Thanksgiving Worship Service

10:00 - 11:30 am / Sanctuary

Join us in worshipping the Lord as the body of Christ and giving thanks to Him for all His benefits to us together with all 3 congregations on Sunday, November 24 at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary. Combined Lunch Fellowship in the FLC at 12:00 pm. No Sunday School on this day. May God be glorified in all that we say, think and do.

Kids Ministry

  Child Dedication: Child dedication is for families who would like to dedicate their young child to the Lord, commit themselves to raise their precious little one up in the way of our Lord, and for the church family to love and support them along this journey. Please register to attend one of our required sessions prior to the dedication.

  Child Baptism: Baptism is an important step of obedience on the journey with Jesus as the child identifies him/herself with the death and resurrection of Christ, and shares his/her desire to follow Jesus with family and friends, and the church family. Please register for the Next Step.

Handbells and Chimes Music Program

1:30 - 2:30 pm / Green Room in the Worship Center

Handbells and Chimes Ensemble, a Special Christmas Music Presentation organized by Pastor Kai Yuen Choi and Rev. Clifford Lee, will practice on Sundays, from 1:30 - 2:30 pm in the Green Room (left of the Sanctuary in the Worship Center). We invite all to come and join, but you have to be able to read music. If you are not familiar with handbells or chimes, we will have introductory sessions to give an idea of the instruments and how they are played. Wellness Connect Group

10:30 - 11:30 am / CBC Children Center (Room 211)

Wellness Connect Group will be back in person at CBC Children Center (Room 211) every Tuesday beginning on Tuesday, September 3 from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Please provide your own resistance band, 2-3 lb dumb bells, yoga mat, bottle water and wear comfortable sports cloth. Wellness Connect Group is aimed at increasing flexibility, strength and improving balance. Regular participation in these activities can help reduce risk of falls, increase mental clarity, and alleviate stress and anxiety. Baby Bottles Bonanza

November 3 - December 1

Baby Bottles Bonanza Fundraising for the Women’s Pregnancy Center. From November 3 - December 1, please take some baby bottles home, fill them up with coins or cash, and bring them back to church by Sunday, December 1. Pastoral staff are calling everyone to gather and pray on the 1st Sunday of every month. The upcoming date will be Sunday, December 1 from 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm in the Worship Center. No lunch on this day. Everyone is encouraged to be a part of the regional prayer gathering. No lunch on this day.

Chinese School $280/year

CBC Chinese School classes are held on Sunday afternoons at 1:30 pm in the Children Center (Room 211). Traditional and Simplified Chinese classes include Chinese character reading & writing, calligraphy, conversation, recital and activity teaching. Men’s Breakfast

Men’s Breakfast event will be on Saturday, Decmber 7 from 8:30 - 9:30 am in Room 163. Join us for men’s fellowship, devotional and prayer time together. Breakfast will be provided. Rainbow Fellowship "Festival of Lights" Trip $32.00

3:00 - 8:30 pm / Galvestion

Field trip to Moody Gardens for the “Festival of Lights”. Bus departs CBC at 3:00 pm. Cost of ticket & buffet dinner: $32.00 (For ages 65 & up); $37.00 (for ages 13-64) Non-refundable. Payment is due 4 weeks before travel. Tram available on a first-come, first-serve basis for those with limited mobility. Note: Moody Gardens requires payment a month in advance, with no refunds. They have golf carts with about 6 seats to ride around the "Festival of Lights" for those who have limited mobility. Price includes a delicious buffet and ticket to the Festival of Lights. Business Meeting

Save the date for our Annual Business Meeting that will be held on Sunday, December 8 at 1:00 pm in the Sanctuary. The Church Annual Report 2023-2024 along with agenda and previous minute meeting will be ready for pick up in the Foyer, please take only 1 copy per family. Simple lunch will be served.

University of Houston Outreach Ministry

Collecting donations for UH International Students from December 8 - January 12, 2025. Please bring the donated items to the CBC front Office under the stairway. Items needed such as bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets), kitchenware (pots, pans, bowls, knives, utensils), small appliances (toasters, microwaves, kettles) and small basic furniture (chairs, small tables). Blood Donation Drive at CBC

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will come to CBC on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm in the FLC. Please consider donating blood this year to help save lives again! Our goal is 25 people this time! Sign-up or a 15-minute slot to help save a life. Participants will receive a blue hoodie!
