CBC Friday Night Food & Fellowship
6:30 pm / Rooms 159 & 163
If your child is participating in youth or AWANA, please join us Friday nights for fellowship and dinner in Rooms 159 and 163. Food will be served in Room 163 or Office Foyer from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Afterwards, we will breakout into our respective groups: AWANA in FLC (Kids age 4-5th grade) from 7:30 - 9:15 pm, Youth in Chapel (Middle and High Schoolers) from 7:30 - 9:15 pm, Mandarin Fellowship in Room 163 from 7:30 - 9:00 pm, and English Adults R&R in Room 134 from 7:30 - 9:00 pm for sharing, prayer, and Bible study.

Awana Ministry 2024-2025$20.00

AWANA Ministry 2024-2025 meets on Friday evenings. AWANA is for Kindergarten to 5th grades. With the $20.00 registration fee, kids will receive the handbook, a drawstring bag and emblems. CBC Youth Ministry 2024-2025
ACCESS meeting bi-weekly, beginning Friday, January 10 at 7:30 pm in the Chapel.
Youth Discipleship Groups are studying the Book of James this year. Every Sunday during the 2nd hour at 11:15 am, the youth are covering topics of Identity, Joy in Pain, Trials and Temptation, Faith and Works, Use of Words, Knowing the Lord Will, Money, the Last Day, and The Prayer of Faith.

Children’s Sunday School needs second and third grade teachers (serving from 11:00 am - 12:15 pm). If brothers and sisters are interested in helping, please contact Geraldine: Geraldinel@cbchouston.org
Child Dedication: Child dedication is for families who would like to dedicate their young child to the Lord, commit themselves to raise their precious little one up in the way of our Lord, and for the church family to love and support them along this journey. Please register to attend one of our required sessions prior to the dedication.
Child Baptism: Baptism is an important step of obedience on the journey with Jesus as the child identifies him/herself with the death and resurrection of Christ, and shares his/her desire to follow Jesus with family and friends, and the church family. Please register for the Next Step.

Each group is asked to provide 3-4 helpers (including 1-2 to wash dishes)

Chinese New Year Celebration Lunch
12:30 pm / FLC
Join us in celebrating the New Year and fellowship together as a church on January 26 at 12:30 pm in the FLC. Every family is asked to bring 1 or 2 rotisserie chicken(s) to share for our CNY lunch fellowship! Please bring cooked chickens to the kitchen before worship services so that the crew can prepare the meal! The Mandarin group will be also in charge of cooking the veggie dishes, the Cantonese group will be helping serving, washing, and cleaning up. English Adult SS class is in charge of bringing the desserts (prefer cookies) or Mandarin oranges for the dessert tables.

Chinese School $280/year

CBC Chinese School classes are held on Sunday afternoons at 1:30 pm in the Children Center (Room 211). Traditional and Simplified Chinese classes include Chinese character reading & writing, calligraphy, conversation, recital and activity teaching. Guest speaker Cynthia Lew (Registered Nurse with UTMB) is a diabetic educator and lifestyle coach for 20 years. Lunch cost is $5.00/person. Church-wide Prayer Gathering
