FEATURING LEE STROBEL

CBC will be hosting a simulcast event with Lee Strobel and his team on Saturday, September 30 from 8:00 am - 12 pm Noon. Lee Strobel was an award winning investigative reporter with the Chicago Tribune and self-proclaimed atheist who, in the course of investigating the claims of the Bible, gave his own life over to Jesus. This event is entitled "Prepared to Answer" and will gently and respectfully address some of the questions raised by culture that collide with biblical truth: Islam or Christianity, science, sex, pain and suffering, among other topics. This event is free and would be beneficial to Christians as well as those not used to attending church. Tickets will be available at the information booth - please take as many as you would like. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.

Child and Youth Protection Training

A REMINDER TO ALL CHILDREN'S WORKERS: Everyone who is or will be working with children and youth (birth - 18 years old) is required to take the Child and Youth Protection Training, available online. There are 2 parts to the training, Next Gen Training and Child Protection and Prevention Background Check. We value the safety of the children and youth entrusted under our care as well as those who serve. A Child and Youth Protection Policy and Procedure is the initial yet critical step to ensure the safety of all involved in the community. The Ministry leader will be following up with the volunteers. For more information, download the tutorial.
