MEDICAL ESL MINISTRY
The Medical ESL Ministry's aim is to help people who
already have some proficiency in English, to learn medical terminology in use
in clinical situations. People have found it useful in helping them to prepare
for Step 2 clinical skills. This class is mainly for medical personnel but
other non-medical persons have found the discussions interesting.
Medical English/Course Objectives
- Provide opportunity for student to practice history and physical examination (focused) - based on Step 2 CS guidelines
- Learn and apply critical thinking in diagnosis and management
- Discuss anatomy and
pathophysiology as it pertains to each case/organ system
Medical English/ESL Classes Information
The classes meet every 3rd Sunday from 1:30 - 3:30 pm in the rooms in the
Coffee Bar area of the Education
Building.
