ABOUT: SELAH
It's not about the seven Gospel Music Association Dove, or that they have
sold over four million albums and singles, or that they have beautiful harmonies,
or that they have appeared on The 700 Club, Hour of Power and TBN, or even that
Billy Graham has met and prayed privately with Selah.
It's about hope.
It's about encouragement and healing for our souls.
It's about sharing their own personal stories of loss and restoration.
It's about God and how He is real, He is here, and He will take care of us.
If you love hymns, come listen to how Selah has taken stirring,
well-written hymns that have lasted for hundreds of years and re-arranged them
to once again shine with truth and hope for another generation!
Todd Smith, Allan Hall and Amy Perry
Selah's Todd Smith, Allan Hall and Amy Perry find
it both humbling and exciting to be part of a force that inspires, entertains
and encourages. They are everyday people who have gone through some of the same
pains and heartbreak that many of us have.
Todd and his wife, Angie, knew before their fourth child's birth
that they were going to lose her very soon after delivery. They could have chosen
to rant and rave against the injustice, letting bitterness and anger in. They could
have aborted the child. But, no, they chose God. They chose to let this tragic event
become an inspiring tribute to God's glory. Angie's love letter to their little
Audrey became a very moving song, "I Will Carry You", on one of their albums. Todd
has said that it doesn't mean there's no sadness or darkness. It's how we respond
to such circumstances that will determine our future. "I will hope in You and not
focus on my circumstances, because Your Word is life and peace."
Amy will be sharing two things that speaks volumes to many of us:
- How God can bring those who hurt and are feeling broken to a place of healing and restoration.
- Real life struggles with weight and what she has finally come to realize.
Do you feel that you've hopelessly lost your way?
What is your heart hungering for?
Let Selah help you: "Hope. It's important that people leave our concerts encouraged, that
they don't leave there the way they came."
Please join Chinese Baptist Church and our partner, KHCB radio station, as we worship with Selah in concert!
Doors open at 6 PM
